It costs about the same as SafeCopy, but it has unlimited storage, multiple backup destinations, and many other cool features. I have been running in on Linux for several years.

If you disable “Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps”, you do not need to close the windows first before quitting an app. Alternatively, instead of disabling this feature, you can hold Option when you quit the app, which clears the saved windows, so that you will have a fresh launch with no previous windows next time you open the app.

I think, for $29.99, Lion is worth every penny. It is the culmination of 10 years of refining OS X. While it may not be all that ground breaking, it does add a few features and continued compatibility. However, if the OS was $129 like 10.5 was, I probably wouldn’t buy it for the options it brings to the table. I think that the price point is indicative of the limited additional features, so it is fair.

And I’m sure that as an iPad user you found the concept of the Launchpad familiar and useful.
But as far as saving the status of the apps, I hate it. Specially in Safari. Made me so paranoid to make sure that I close all the windows before I quit Safari. Last thing I want is to be projecting or sharing my desktop, launch Safari and, oops, what’s that hotornot.com site doing there?!

Just noticed one good thing about Lion, actually made my Bluetooth work better and stay connected.
